I fished with him in a FLW tourney a long time ago back when he had his Triton with the big number 8 on the side of it. After he found out that I knew Wade and we were good friends, we became even better friends. Wade and Jeff grew up fishing together in Oklahoma. Jeff is always playing tricks like that. He always goes out of his way to help anyone and everyone. Anyone that gets to spend time on the water with him definitely will learn something. He taught me how to fish docks in 80 to 100 foot depths. The man is a master at every scenario of fishing.

thats pretty dang neat. those experiences will last a lifetime. i still look up to the pros, and keep an open mind anytime they talk. some good guys representing our sport!

Thats good stuff

Ive met Kriet once before and he was a pretty cool.

I had the pleasure of fishing the Wounded Warrior Tourny on LL last year with a bunch of Elite Pros. I was fishing in the boat with Kenyon Hill and that morning we were all at the dock getting ice, snacks, etc... Well, there wasn't enough room for our boat at the dock so we just tied off to Kriet's. While no one was looking Hill reaches over and cuts all of Kriet's pre-rigged lines at the reel! He didn't tell me he'd done it until we were underway to our first spot. You guessed it... Kriet's first cast... Backlash Big Time!!! Hill said they do that kinda stuff with each other all the time.

When the day's fishing was done, Hill headed home immediately since we didn't have a good catch. All other boats waited in the staging area untill everyone was off the water and we convoyed with a police escort downtown Dallas to the boat show where we had the weigh-in. While waiting in the staging area a bunch of us novices had gathered around Kriet's boat where he was talking shop with some other Pros. All the sudden he mentions that Hill had cut his line and asked who was on his boat! I raised my hand like a kid caught throwing spit wads in school! He laughed it off and said he'd get him back. He did provide all of us with some valued pointers and a lot of joking around. Just a good ole boy like us.
