Got out on the late at about 1:30PM. Started out on upwind shore around Lynn Creek park - graphed a few fish but no takers. You know, all the $$ in GPS equipment are not much good if you forget your map chip. I decided to really take a look at fireman hump and the mid-lake hump and catch the edges with waypoints. With the wind, drifting was too fast to slab and I couldn't hold a spot into the wind. I tried hellpetting (watch how you use that term...) with no luck. Tired of the wind, I moved to to a cove NE of Lynn Creek Park. I was wondering if the reason for no fish was that I forgot to wear my Magnumsandbass.com T-shirt. Shortly after that thought - Wham! 3 magnums in 5 minutes - the biggest sandies I've caught on JP. Next year oughta be pretty good at JP.

Are you still wanting to buy 1 of the ABU 5600?
I'm thinking about picking one up for myself & I could pick yours up at the same time. Tried to email you but had no luck.

EB,
Glad you got a few monsters for all that effort!! You're gonna have to take me out fishin' sometime just to show me all this high-tech gear . . . . . with the exception of the T-shirt of course, I'm familiar with mojo wink

I graphed fish about the humps but I could not slow down enough with the wind for decent slabbing. (I wish I was out yesterday! (Monday))And they sure were not hitting anything trolled. This time of year the sandies seem to hit anything white or chartreuse if it sits still or falls slowly. I was getting the same fish pecking the slab 3-4 times before it was hooked - a real change from the summer slam and run. The fish were near 1.5lb, maybe a bit more.
