Going to Lake Stamford in August and have never been there. Fishing for LMB mainly and if someone wants to share I could use some fishing info. PM me if you want.
Also need info on a place to stay near by and what the best ramp would be to launch from.
Thanks again for the info..... popcorn2

All ramps are in great shape. it rained very hard today, Tuesday in taylor, jones and haskell counties, as much as 4-6 inches in a couple of hours. stamford should be 2 or more feet over the spillway in the next couple of days barring anymore rain. high water in all the bushes, reeds, cattails, lilly pads and anything close to the bank. it has been over the spillway now for several months.

Hopefully you got my response to your inquiries earlier. Those creeks should be running blood red from that red clay soil tomorrow.

Thanks Mud Dabber, I did get your response and will use the info. I really appreciate the lodging info. I was just wondering if anyone else out there had any other info on some bass fishing.
Thanks

Black back/silver Pop R's in the shallow grass and reeds in and around the front of the docks at Veda's and especially the 1st large cove to the south of Veda's from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. You can not get shallow enough very, very early in a.m. Spinnerbaits as they move deeper until 10:00 a.m. plus/minus.
