I responded to the guy about the poll for slot limits on LL, then only got to check it once. It looked like things were starting to get ugly. Did it get deleted??? I never did understand what that was all about. Can anyone enlighten me??? Oh well, I guess I missed that one.

Anyway, I'll be home for Father's day weekend. Who's going out?? I will probably be out Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Of course, that depends on the honey-do list. Looks like I may finally be home for good the end of June (possibly the end of July). I'm sure they'll give me a day or two notice before they send me packin' from south Mississippi!!! laugh laugh laugh Anyway, hope to see a bunch of y'all out there next weekend.

Bob

Some guy started calling the guy who posted it a "retard"... It is a shame how things degenrate to name calling here a classic example of human insecurity...

It was a good thread, not logical action for LL but a good thread...

I have no idea I did not delete it maybe it up and vanished. Well here is the link to the poll again.

Poll

Guys thanks for voting. I have to say that this is the best thing for the lake.

I would also like to try and get it stocked with trout so the hybrids could grow to become huge. Thanks for all the thought and we still need the 8" to 20" slot on LL for hybrids and sandbass.

If you were the person that deleted the last topic please post here and come out from hiding and tell us why you did not like my post. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

#1 Trout wont live in warm Texas waters
#2 With that big of a slot, very few sandbass would ever be kept in turn overpopulating the lake with small fish.
#3 Hybrids and Sandbass are 2 completely different fish...A fish that grows to over 10 lbs on Lewisville cant be grouped in with a fish that maxes out around 3 or 4 lbs.
#4 If you want to try something experimental like this do it on your own lake...dont ruin what's probably one of the top 5 white bass fisheries in Texas.

Like I said before, you just happened into a school of small, young fish. If you pickup and move elsewhere you'll find that there are a lot of bigger fish in the lake. One more hint...the fish on the surface are usually the smaller more active ones. Throw a big slab under the school, or look for more structure oriented fish that aren't surfacing and you'll start picking up bigger ones.

This wasn't meant to be an ugly post, so if I come off that way I apologize in advance.

I think this whole slot thing is a hoax, 8"-20" slot on sandies and hybrids is a joke

What Im trying to do is get a slot on LL so that we can grow much larger fish. I took my son out there the other evening and all we caught were 5 and 6 inch fish. The lake could be a world class lake. It just needs our help. Just think about your kids and there future.

The White bass Record for LL is 20.5 inches. Most of these fish would die of old age before they ever got that big.

Try spending more time learning how to fish. If the lake has a problem the TPW will handle it.

And TROUT in Texas lakes? That there is funny I tell ya.

While yer at trying to get TPWD to introduce goofy restrictions and death defying fish to Lewisville, have them throw in some sharks too. Not just little, non agressive ones...some big ones with big teeth that love a steady diet of jet skiers and wakeboarders. nuts

I agree with the fact that slot limits will not work in Lewisville for Sandies or hybrids.
I just wish that we could get some more people understnading the difference and more of the undersize hybrids that get kept would grow a little larger.
The Dam and the water pump in the summer does help keep alot of fish alive in lewisville that
stratafies during the summer.
I know that the population of hybrids could use some management improvement on the lake. There are some nice fish in the lake but it could be
one of the top hybrid lakes with a little effort.
TPW could help with posting a parks and public ramps and better communication and a ocassional
visit to the Lake during Peak fishing times.
Thats my 2 cents

There a ALOT of fisherman on the site that post good, accurate reports for LV. LV seems to a heck of a good fishery headed only up. We all hit dinks every now and again, if that is all you find it is time to look at what you can be doing different.

Read the TFF and see what others are doing to find quality fish.
