I'll make a deal with you... I'll be going to POC, my first time ever, at the end of August. Let me know how you did and I'll return the favor.

Ok seriously. I don't know what patterns are working, but from my experiences in the LLM, I you think like a bass fisherman you'll do ok. Sandy pockets in the sea grass or edge of weeds along the shores. Top waters early, then soft plastics later like assasins. Use super stealth or wade in the shallows.

Live Shrimp under a Popping Cork will get you some Trout! Mullet or cut bait for Reds. Idk what bay your planning on being in. But I here Oyster beds are allways a good thing? Early Morning Topwater is loads of fun. Top Dogs,Top Dog Juniors, I use small fresh water poppers and get plenty of action. Good luck!

Everything depends on what you want to do, and what equipment you've got to do it in.
Big V hull tuna schooner, you're choices are the jetties, or fishing the well pads in the bay, you will NOT be going in the back lakes or flats. If you do have a real flats boat, then the jetties are out, and you'll be able to scoot around the shallows better.

was there last week - Wed to Sat. Go to Bill Days Shell Reef - freeline croakers or throw a gulp shrimp for trout. Or go to the old Coast Guard station and wade the flats for some nice redfish. That worked for us everyday. Good luck and post your results.
