Ventured out to find some hybrids or sandies about 3:00 today, but couldn't locate them.

So, I idled across the lake (bumped one stump), chummed a tree, and caught 6 catfish from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. 5 blues and 1 channel on SureShot. I caught these in 38 foot deep water, on the bottom, and in the middle of the lake.

Still can't believe all the boats haulin' ace through the stumps! Also can't believe how long the catfish will live during the cooler weather, having come from the cold deep water; even after both slabs of meat were cut from them.

Were you in front of Cottonwood - Little Elm when you encountered the stump field?

I think I saw you out there! We were trolling and slabbing with slabs and humdingers. My friend caught a 5 + Lb 21.5" hybrid on a chartruse deep diving crankbait. We also caught three nice blues on hotdogs with jugs. 20 lbs of fish for a nice after noon.

How did you like the front that came across the lake? It was about 80 then I felt the cool air we made a comment about it then we saw it coming our way from the north. Rough water in front of us and real smooth nice water behind us.

I couldn't believe the boats going 30+ mph thru the stumps. I was just waiting to see someone hit them.

I marked many on the gps just for my future knowledge.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!
