I am wanting information on the "Peanut" on lake Ray Hubbard. I had a neighbor that used to take me there when I was a kid and we caught some huge hybrids. I just remember it being over by the powerplant. I have tried to mark it on the graph but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have only been on the lake twice but I have read that it is by the jetty on the power plant. I was out there on sun. just running around and marking places on the graph and gps for future reference. I was slowly motoring down the jetty (main lake side) and came up on a big hump about 20-40 yards from the jetty. I think this is what they are talking about. Just slowly run the length of the jetty and I believe you will graph it? Hope this helps.

Get a map and there is a spot that is shaped like a peanut from what I understand....Not sure if it is a planters peanut or what, but that is what I was told I still do not have a map other then the one that is on my navionics card and it shows the hump, but I think that is the nickname for it

I can just see Mr. peanut in my head! Never really asked what type of peanut it was, but that it is shaped like a peanut on the map is all I know...

On top of "The Peanut" it's really really shallow but falls off into 35 foot of water close to the river channel to the SE according to the map I'm looking at on my CD. River channel runs in real close to this hump on the SE side.

Caught some close to there yesterday evening. They were not on the peanut, but slightly north of it, between it and the flats. Man those flats sure are shallow.
John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

the penut is my favorite place to fish. i have fished hubbard all my life and have always caught fish there. good for stripers and sandbass. watch out though there is a huge sand bar right of the tip of it the extends a pretty good ways. there are warning bouys but when the lake is low the bouys arent much help.

You are talking about the flats out from the point of the power plant jetty....The peanut is farther down close to the 3 green storage tanks...But you are right about the shallow water on the point of the jetty, it can get very dangerous....
