 GPS module not repsonding

I bought a used boat that has a Lowrance LC X-15 MT. The unit has two trays for SD cards. The unit will work off of its base map. When I put a card in the tray, the base map cuts off and a messag that says "GPS module not responding".
I do not get a manual with this unit so I have to come to my fellow TTF memebers for help. Going to Lowrance is just about useless.
Also, if I ever do get the unit to read an SD card, how do you direct the unit to use the "A" slot card or the "B" slot card?

go to mapa data in the menu and scroll over to navionics map choice and select the area you want, probly east texas or north texas.

what year is the navionics card? you have to found a navionics classic card to work in that unit.

I have a NAVIONICS CLASSIC HOTMAPS NE/CLAS-S SOUTH that I used on the same unit you have.
If you want it, make me an offer or a trade.
Also, here's a stupid question: Do you have the unit connected to a GPS antenna?

I have the 15mt and it states GPS module not responding although it is plugged in so most lkely a bad antennae. I called Lowrance and they said that old unit (2002) wont take a mmc chip bigger then 512mg. If your chip is a 1 gig etc the unit will not read it and should cycle on and off.

I just got off the phone with Lowrance. Although my Premium map is only 512mb, it will not work; only a Classic map will work.
