Hi there! I am new to the East Texas area and have been having fun trying to locate all the fishing holes! Just wondering if there are any organizaed events for the ladies, local clubs or any ladies who might consider a fishing partner? I have layed low this summer as it is HOT, but I dont have to tell you that.
Let me know what is happening in E TX.

Welcome to the TFF.
I don't tournament fish and have absolutely no idea about ladies or mixed events.
This is a lonely section to post in as almost no one else does.
If you want to join the crowd of missfits, crazies, and some times idiots, come to the OT. Yes fishing topics are allowed in the OT but really not not much.

 perhaps something needs to be posted in the bass section. would like to know what all is available as far as women's events in the area for my wife as well.....she put it on me yesterday evening

There is a new organization for ladies. It is the Lady Bass Anglers Association. They have their kick-off tournament scheduled on Lake Dardanelle in Arkansas for September 16th and 17th. I will be glad to give you more information and answer any questions you may have. We would absolutely love to have you fishing with us fishngurl and chunkNwind's wife as well. Check out the Dallas Bass'n Gals website. We are a women's club who fish a tournament once a month March thru November. Most of the lakes we fish are in the East Texas areas.

Welcome to the TFF and Texas!
The only local club that I am aware of is the Dallas Bass'n Gals. We have several ladies from the East Texas area that fish our club tournaments. They have a website through fishingworld.com. Next meeting and tournament coming up sometime next month!

Hey thanks for all the good information. Since I am only half of a "couple" that route would not work for me, but will definitely be sending some messages out. Thanks for the welcome, I am a native of this great state and this is my first tour in the east!

Try catfishin too!! Central Texas Catfish has a few ladies every once in a while

Not sure how far Eat Texas, We are up here in North Texas,m We fish lake like Pat Mayse, Bob Sandlin, Cypress Springs, Winnsboro, Quitman, Bonham
Its a team club. Its called Family Bass, A few husnad/wife etc fish it. If your interested give me a call
Also there is a 2 of us league which is husband and wife also but they are up in Oklahome. i know there are more around. if thats somethign thats interest let me know as wqell and i can get you mor einfo on that. You migh tbe able to google them and find out if something is close to you
