Way below Granbury! Wayne, Howard and Keith display their catch on 12-8-03. Artificial fishing was a little slower on this day. Michael Acosta Unfair Advantage Charters 817-578-0023 http://www2.itexas.net/mwacosta/unfairadvantagecharters_001.htm

I have a couple questions...the first I am a little embarasses to ask. How far from the 174 bride would I ahve to go upstream to find some of those striper? I understand if nobody wants to give away their holes but nudge in the right direction would be appreciated. I would like to get in there for the crappie anyway. I only have a 15h and don't tend to go very far. Second, when I was up around kimbal bend last winter I saw a couple people beach their boat on the shallow side of a deeper hole and throw out two or three lines with large shad or goldfish on them. Were they fishing for striper of catfish?

Stripers and crappie are in most every hole below and above the 174 bridge. Shad or cut bait fishing is used on the sloping banks for cats or stripers.

I believe that 174 bridge is a little west of Cleburne on 174. But I've never used it or seen it.

174 bridge is west of Hillsboro, just north of Whitney. Never been there, but from the map looks like there is a ramp on the west bank just south of the bridge. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?cou...esubmit=Get+Map

Yes, Marc....Kimbell Bend. There is a ramp there, just west of the bridge, on the south side.

Had a last minute cancellation for Friday Dec. 12th. I also have an opening this weekend. Winter striper fishing. Learn the river and learn the techniques to catch these fish on artificials. River above Whitney.
I will give a special price for this late notice if any party or anyone is interested.

Can you run the Brazos all the way to Grandbury putting in at the 174 bridge i.e. how deep is the river and can you navigate it?
Let's DO IT!
