Shreveport/Bossier as mentioned above, but Caddo is but one option. The red river is an adventure, and the girls would enjoy an evening of just running the red, and the fishing can be fantastic..several local lakes close by, malls at or around the casinos, and BPS right there.... or the Red River at Nacitoches, cool little city with some damn good food, try Mamma's and Pappa's downtown. and the river is real nice in that area

We are heading to Table Rock in late Sept. Can't beat the area. Table Rock is solid LMB, SMB and other fish Walleye, Stripers, crappie. Taneycomo right below the dam has solid trout fishing mainly rainbows but some browns. Branson is a fun city with theme parks, shopping and shows. There is a new Bass Pro in Branson plus the big one in Springfield. If you go that way hit up lamberts cafe (home of the thrown rolls)

My wife loves the LCRA park at Lake Bastrop. Very nice RV sites and lots to do within a short driving distance. The fishing is also great at Bastrop.
You might also check Cagle Park on the north end of Lake Conroe. Again, very nice RV spots and lots to do in the area. You can also jump over and fish at Raven Lake if the fishing is not good at Conroe.
The RV spots at Fayette are very small and it is a little isolated.

If you want a big bass lake I would say Amistad. There is a little Mall right off 83 10 mins from Diablo launch ramp. Nothing like a Gallaria, but has a dillards and other shops with a small theater right next door.
Plus there are a few decent places to dine in Del Rio.
And Amistad is the chit? Rent a house boat - the girls will love it.
But if your gals are looking for top notch shopping then you need to stay near Austin, Houston, or Dallas. Lake Conroe would be an option.
