Good stuff. Gonna show these to my family and friends as a teaching moment: wear protective eye wear when fishing. Kind of like a "Red Asphalt" film for anglers.

Holy cow how could he have handled from the water to the doctor! It hurts bad enough when I get a hair on my contacts.

Had to pull one out of my thumb a couple months ago. Not fun. My buddy kept gagging like he was going to puke. I told him to suck it up...it is my thumb.I used the needle nose pliers and just jerked. It was not that bad.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I have a serious suggestion. Has saved me afew times. Always have some ice with you. You can numb that hooked finger and remove most hooks if area is numb enough. This has saved me several times when by myself and then good to go fishing!

Ice works pretty well for me too. You can either use the ice or the numbing spray. Both can come in handy. PS @ the original poster, nice boxers.

The eye one was freaky. I always wear glasses when fly fishing and my barbs are flattened or broken off. I can't imagine a fly stuck in my eye and having to make it back to the truck.

In space, nobody can hear you scream for ice cream.
