 6'7" from april of this year  6' fish, size 12 shoe  Trying to get away, this picture was taken with one hand on the camera and one hand on the rod. Would have been cool to have some help.  still hoping to eat this bait   A small one, but at least I am in the pic with it. I usually don't get to be in the pics because I am alone often.

Do you keep them and eat them? I understand that they are excellent table fare, is that correct?

I do not keep them. I would consider keeping a small fish, but I haven't done it. Even the small ones are alot more fish meat than I will use since my wife doesn't really like to eat fish.

best way to cook is nail to a board and cook for 4-6 hrs.Then take the gar off throw it away and eat the board.
