I dont know that much about chip-n-seal paving (maybe someone can shed more light)but if they install it right I wouldnt think it wouldn't do that. From my understanding, once they spray the tar layer and go back over it with the rock machine to spread the rock, the machine should be set well enough to lay down the proper amount of rock to stick to the tar. Once they do this I believe they are suppose to roll it in to better cond the two together. Atleast thats what we do, but then again the roads I build have a 25 mph speed limit so dont know how they will kick up at 70. Maybe they just added an additional layer of rock becuase the road was bleeding. Hate to hear about all of your boats. That bites....

Due to poor road conditions I recommend that everyone thinking of coming to HB from east of Breckenridge go another direction (like Texoma) for the next several months until the road is finished!

LOL

White Settlement Bass Club was there on Sunday as well. I'll check with the other guys to see how their boats/trailers look. Mine looks like it was sandblasted. Not much paint left on the trailer. Thousands of little tiny nicks out of the bottom of the boat. I'll send something to the paving company as well.

Anybody hear anything back from them?

The pilot car was taking it to fast . I slowed up because his gravel was flying all over me . There were several in line behind me and I was the first behind the pilot and I still got chips in the bow and fenders took it hard. I couldnt imagine being stuck in the middle. Ill be calling my attorney tommorow.

Damn Dave,

I hate to see it happen to your new boat also!! Everyone needs to make sure they file a complaint with the company. If everyone doesnt get together to let them know then nothing will happen.

Okay guys, I also went this way on Sunday, and took extensive damage to the boat and trailer, there was no pilot car, so went regular speeds, looks like somebody took a shot gun to the trailer and blasted the hell out of it, i did send an email to the brannan paving com. yesterday and i received a response this morning, this is what i got back....Please e-mail to me the following information: Date and time of incident. Approximate location on 180. Make Model Year of any damaged vehicle, along with the specific damages.A brief description of exactly what happened.

This information will be forwarded to our insurance carrier, CNA, and they will contact you directly for a statement.

Please accept my apology on behalf of Brannan Paving for your inconvenience.

I called Brannan Paving this afternoon and was advised to send an email to the lady that handles their claims. The email address is riwi_mom@yahoo.com. The lady's name is Faye.

I have not heard back from her yet.

Seal Coat is the Devil!! It aught to be outlawed. Was the rock white or coated in asphalt?
