hit the water about 5:00 planned on doing some Crappie fishing under the little elm bridge.
wouldnt you know it the sand bass started schooling right there!!! all little fish but me and my daughter tore em up!

Decided to head over to twin trees to see what was up, lots of boats and a fair amount of fish ended the day with my personal best on a Hybrid 21inches. let everything go didnt keep any of the fish I am burnt out on sand bass and so is the family.
It really seems that the evening bite is much better than the morning.

Question of the day...

Will a Buzz bait make the sand bass surface thinking that it is other fish feeding? I wanted to try it today but I had my daughter and she was working my butt off.

yes when the sandies are surfacing you can make them chase top water buzz baits and spinners ran shallow on the surface.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

So we were out in the boat show at Deadmans Friday night and everyone around us was catching fish while we were watching. We caught two throwing yellow slabs,TNT's, humdinger white and green, and every other lure in my box. So what was working for those of you catching fish?
It did seem like a lot of fish out there hitting top water.

I was out on there on Friday night with the wife. We caught fish on silver Humdingers, top water and 3 very small jigs. The wife had a tripple on the small jigs. It was fun. We were in the Ranger boat.

I had a blast with my top water plug. It was great. It was silver and black.
