I find the best way is to use frozen shad. You can keep them on ice, which adds weight, then shove about 3 down the bass like you would a lead weight right before way in. Looks natural, and can give you up to 8 ounces or half a pound more.

Why don't the TDs buy a cheap Wal Mart metal detector for $50 and scan the fish? There are always going to be cheaters where money is involved. caise they cant detect lead

Cameron I'm tryin to tell you live bait is the way to go. By the way since its on topic Robby kept all his fish in metal cages at the Lakes of Springfield parks Lakes off Hwy 66 in Rowlett, Tx.

wowww!? who would shove lead into a fish.. i use tungston its way smaller and easier on the fish. +1. works well in fork tournies especially. im just looking for a weight that will extend those 23 1/2 inch slot fish to 24 inchies.  (TFF Gods, element of sarcasam used above. Carry on)
