I have run the Maxx 29's from walmart for the last several years. Changed them out after two years of 75+ days on the water while they were still working fine. Just had to have that new battery power.
I think they are right at $80 a piece.

Take a look at DEKA batteries.

No they are not. Those Battery's suck. You will spend more time bringing them back than you will fishing.

Go to Interstate batteriers on Plano Rd they have recondition battiers for 35 dollars and up there.

Sears Diehard has some great AGM Deep Cycle batteries.

There are numerous factors that determine battery life. How often you use it (cycles), how you maintain it such as keeping the water in those that aren't sealed, type of charger you use, how much of a beating it takes, how well it's constructed such as plate thickness, type of construction (AGM, Gel Cell, Non-Sealed Flooded), how well it strapped down, etc.

Many times someone will missuse a battery and then deem that brand and type of battery "bad" even though they may have done something like not maintain the water level or overcharge it with a charger that isn't "smart".

I like the AGM sealed type. Less maintenance but typically more expensive than the standard non-sealed lead acid battery. I currently have Sears Diehard Platinum PM-1 Grp 31. With 100 amp hours at 20 hour rate these are one of the higher capacity AGM batteries available. At $240 they are also pretty expensive. To me it's worth it to have a very high chance of zero battery issues for at least the next three years. Just plug the charger in everytime and don't worry. They will go a pretty good day with the trolling motor on higher speeds. I have a Motorguide 82 Digital. If these batteries aren't able to go a full day then it's too rough out for me to enjoy it anyway. If you need more time then you need to go with a 36V Motor. More voltage = less amps for same watt production.

The Optima Grp 31 Blue Top has 75 amp hours at the 20 hour rate. So if you believe they rate them exactly with the same criteria then the Optima last 25% less on each charge than the Sears.

If you want a more reasonable price battery their are alot of good Non- Sealed Flooded Lead Acid batteries out there. Maintenance is a huge factor on these. If you take care of them that vastly increases the chance that they will take care of you. I had Interstates in that came with my boat for the first 30 months. Zero issues with them. I just changed them because they were aging and all batteries have a normal expected life span.

walmart has work fine for my dad and I. 75 dollars can't go wrong.

I use Wal Mart' s best batteries. The best thing they have going for them is that there is a Wal Mart in every town. I have had no problems with mine. I replace every 2 years and they are usually still ok. I just dont want to chance any battery problems. So for my own sanity I replace.

Tried to take one back the other day and walmart said they no longer warranty marine batteries!

You pick the brand. Just get the largest batteries that will fit your battery space.

From my experience over the last 20+ years, most batteries are fine as long as the water level is kept up; they are charged every time when returning from even a short trip and the battery charger is not faulty. I have ruined a battery with a faulty charger. Making sure they are secured well in the boat is not a bad idea.

Interstate its all I ever use in my boat and trucks.Maintanence the key to just about everything.

WalMart in Mineral Wells no longer honors any warranty on boat batteries.
