I have a customer that will be vacationing on Lake Travis in October and wanted us to get a guide for a day. Any recommendations?

Mike can put you on several central Tx lakes.

Unless they're stuck on going to Travis, I'd ask the guide what lake in the area is best in his opinion. You might do better at one of the neighboring lakes.

+1 on Mike Hastings. He's a great guy and can put you on fish! Travis is not known for huge fish, but for large numbers.

Disclaimer: I bought a trolling motor from Mike and he bought me lunch. Good burger, too!

If Mike is unavailable, Allen Christianson has been guiding on Travis for years and years as well. Google him for contact info.

I've never killed anyone, but I've read several obituaries with great enjoyment.

+1 for Hastings.

If you can, go to different lake. He guides several around Austin that have much better fishing.
