Got on the water around 9am and the water was rough on the south side so we headed up north. Got to the area along I-30 by party cove and saw surfacing fish. They stayed up for about 30 seconds and then went back under. Spent the next 2 and a half hours chasing them with the trolling motor. The fish would come up for about 30 seconds then go back under and surface again 500 yards away. Ended up only catching 2, one white bass on a chrome rattletrap and a catfish on a slab.

We got on the water about 5:00 and the winds were blowing pretty good but we made our way over near the rock jetty and for the next 2 hours drifted back and forth from 23' to 7' and kept a 3 person limit of sandies on slabs with an occasional top water fish. Didn't see any other boats fishing.

The majority were all 10" with a few small hybrids.

We have been catching tons of 10" this year. My daughter and i did manage to get into some keeper hybrids in that area about a week ago. That was alot of fun.

Wore them out midway between peanut and the end of the jetty on Monday night all in about 7-15ft. The wind was up a little with some pretty good rollers coming in, but they came up around 7:30 and stayed on top for a solid hour. Mixed good sandies and shorty hybrids, between two of us 60-70 fish easy, and tossed everything back. Took longer to get them off than to get the next one on. Everything on top dog or a blue striper. We never saw any or hooked any good hybrids.
