West-Texan, sorry for being late with the reply, haven't been on the TFF for a while. We are at 14 as shown below. We got room for 4-6 more if you want to join the group.
Bazz and Beto, we moved you two to the Standby list, hope you two can make it, but know how it is. The trip is first come, first commit as both of you know.
Just a note, SonOneIII charter does not require to have offspring to join, just letting folks know there will be a number of kids/young men on board. We're going to fish hard and hopefully find some tuna, but everyone will need to recognize that the young ones might make a mistake, and not get bent out of shape about it.
Let me know if interested, we're expecting to hear from a number of folks from around here, don't know how many, may be one may be a fair number.

MM, you mentioned being picked up at the airport if you and Sharae fly down, assuming a Thursday fly down, we'll be in Port Aransas catching piggies and can pick you up at the airport and get you two to the ho-teel if you like. Let us know.

Looks like you have the makings of an excellent Son One III crew. Hope Yall get on lots of Tuna!

I have an Aircraft contract that will have me out of the Blue Water until Sept.

Understand Bazz, won't be the same without you, but we'll try to put the hurting on the tuna if we can find them.
Update, looks like we just came in under the wire for Red Snapper, the federal season closes July 24th at 12:01 am, we get the last day of snapper fishing if we have time or tuna aren't found.
Got deposits from Cathog for three spots, and Clay H is in as well,so we are at 15 committed right now.
We have a another local group of three interested, so we might be at the 18 needed to go real soon.
I'll be doing a group email to all involved soon, but the trip is looking like it is a go from this side.

Cant wait for this one to happen. My son and nephew have been bugging me to death ready for it also. Looking to have a great time and watch the kiddos battle some tuna or other beasts from the deep. Cant wait to meet everyone and have a blast.

Cat, we've been bugged to no end about this charter. Haven't had folks so fired up in a long time.
That's why we do this trip, it will be fun and folks will catch fish and enjoy a great trip.
We'll look for tuna, hopefully find them, but if not we should be able to find enough solid snapper, AJ's, shark, kings, etc, to keep the boys and everyone else happy.
We are fortunate, snapper season closes at 12:01 am on the 24th as of now, so figure on stopping and deep dropping for the red crappie and stuff.
If we come across some tuna the boys will be in for a surprise. Have the fluids and food ready.

Just a few days left. I will be heading out of Lone Oak around 3am Thursday morning. Hope to be in Port A by noon. Kids are chomping at the bit, they are excited enough I might have some company on the trip down instead of a couple of sleeping heads LOL.

Just thought I'd share the love with TFF tunaheads. I don't know what kindof lures you guys normally grow for tuna, but you guys should really check this out! It's much cheaper than the high end Japanese lures, but just as productive. Thought I'd pass the deal on to tff offshore guys too! I'm pretty sure that they'll work for mahimahi, Bonita, and wahoo too.

Not to be a downer, but blue water is very far out right now. It's now 107 miles east of Port A. Water around Baker (50 miles) is the same color (murky green)as the harbor. Even the dump area is in green water.

Good news is you have choosen great boat to help put you on some fish. Don't count on any tuna,(even the yellowfins are in hiding) but other species are hanging in that green water. You should have good time and put some fish in the box. Good luck on your trip and be sure to post some reports.
