We reserved the Pelican out of Deep Sea Headquarters in Port Aransas, Texas w/Captain Clint again for the annual SonOne III Tuna hunt.
Date is Friday July 23rd, 2010.
Charter is a 12 hour trip.
We'll hunt for tuna behind shrimpboats, and deep drop for red crappie, AJ's, grouper, as well as whatever else the group can stand.
As of now, there will be at least three kids on the trip, so understand the mentality of this trip.
We will fish hard, and dang hard if we find the tuna, but we'll not be so uptight that if a young one, (or me! wink ) messes up that we get bent out of shape about it. The trip is educational for the young ones as well as fun.
Everyone will be responsible for their actions, but if you join the trip, understand that there will be young folks on board that do not "see" everything as we do.
We will limit the trip to 20 or less depending on interest.
Ideally we'll keep it at 18, a good combination of folks and cost. If we get 20 committed, we'll cut it at there.
At 18 people the cost will be $155 per person. 20 will cost about $145 per person. Unfortunately on the DSH private charters, everyone, minor or adult, cost equally.
If you are to join the SonOne III trip, we'll need a $75 deposit to secure each spot by March 19th, 2010.
Balance of $80 will be due the week before the trip, July 19th, 2010. At that point you'll be good to go.
SonOne I and SonOne II both were great charters as far as the folks on board. We expect SonOne III to be the same.
We'll experience old friendships, and make new ones, teamwork, support and just have a dang good time.
To join SonOne III, post up here and send the $75 deposit to:
T.O.O
1403 W. Oak Estates Dr
San Antonio, Texas 78260

You are of course free to pay it all up front if you wish.
If you pay and need to drop out, I'll try to find a buyer, as should you, but if we can't find a buyer you'll lose your payment.
Most times we find a buyer but sometimes it's the day or so before the charter runs, so you may not get your money back if your spot is bought until the trip happens.
Just be aware of how a cancellation will work for all involved. Those that know T.O.O. and me know that we regularly pull off miracles and find a buyer for people needing to sell a spot. No guarantees, just our past record.

This is going to be a great, fun, and exciting trip like SonOne I & II were, we'll have some cool thing happen for sure, we'll get to bug Bazz, and I think we'll have a few adult newbies to bother and initiate to offshore fishing. (just watch out for the 5 gallon buckets!)

LM, the boat will supply gear. 4/0 Penn and fiberglass rods. 50# line.
Not great gear, but plenty of folks jump on party boats and fish with boat gear and catch fish.
Most folks that will sign up for SonOne III will have their own gear, most will bring enough extra rigs for you to borrow if you join and ask to use private gear. (break it, lose it, you buy it policy, of course.)
Join up, it's always a great time on these charters.

Hey TOO,

We are gonna check our schedules and see if it is doable for Sharae and I. If the weather is good, might fly down and see if someone could pick us up at the airport in Port A!!

23 total folks interested. We've heard from 12 folks that are confirmed in as of 3-31-10.
We'll need 18 minimum and 20 maximum to keep the cost at $155 or lower.
First paid deposits go, up to 20. Charter will be open until we get to 18 and the last two spots will be in case that many do want to go.
Contact information is one the first post, need an email and then a deposit, and balance due as posted.
For those that are new to the SonOne charter, SonOne and I pay our spots equally just as everyone else.
Let's get this secured number wise and right away, got to let DSH know this trip is a for sure.

Quick update, the number of confirmed people is currently at 12.
We edited the above post to reflect the current status of paid folks.
We'll need the $75 deposit paid and the next 6 to 8 that do pay will get those last spots.
Again, contact information is on the first post. If you want to do the trip, let's get the required stuff done so folks can relax until mid-July.
If there are any questions do not hesitate to call me at the number on the first post.

Willie

Due to work issues I can not make the Son One trip as of now.

Go ahead and give my spot to someone else.
