I read often about catching doubles. How do you rig the line to accomplist that feat. I was on CC Monday AM but didn't find much action. Gave up about 10:30 with one 22 inch hybrid and a couple of sandies. Did anyone do any good. I read that they tore then up at RC.

Fishing with artificials it is pretty easy. Slide something on your line before putting the slab on. I like to use a hand tied bucktail treble hook.....if you do use a buck tail you will want the hair to be a bit thicker than if you put it on a lure.....I know some use a jig and sassy. Tie the slab and then reach up about 18 inches above the slab and tie a dropper loop.... http://www.netknots.com/html/fishing_knots.html ... it is simple knot to tie. When in sand bass it is harder to not catch a double than it is to catch one. If in good hybrids.....it isnt such a good setup.

You can always catch 2 on a spinner.
these two are small but the sandies
where hitting hard and fast that day.
one had the hook, the other caught the
wire that is truned around to hold the
spinner.

If you troll occaisionally, you might experiment with a 2-way rig. Use a 3-way swivel - - first swivel to main line, 5 foot leader with DD22 shad-colored crank on second, 3 foot leader with pet spoon on the third. Like Hellpet, vary amount of line to change depth. I've had some very nice doubles on it recently - - sample below.

Never do card tricks for the group you play poker with.

NICE CATCH LAUNCHER. WHAT LAKE WERE YOU ON ? I THINK I MIGHT TRY YOUR SUGGESTION. I MAINLY FISH GRAPEVINE, BUT THE SANDIES ARE ALOT SMALLER THAN THAT LATELY.
