The past few trips out we have tried a small white inline spinner behind a Jet diver. (Or Hellbender for those who like them) We have had about a 2-1 hookup rate with this combo over a pet spoon. One guy even hooked up a nice size perch on it. In any event, just something new to play with. If you try it let me know how it worked.

Talked to some guys last summer trolling with a white spinnerbait behind a Hellbender and slaying them on Cedar Creek. The moral of the story is anything will get your bait down, and if they're hungry they'll eat just about anything  Good to hear you're having some success with something a little different! ------------------ Save the Lake Bridgeport Hybrids! FYI tree_bass,
I have a friend who caught several hybrid on Bridgeport this spring on a black spinner bait during a bass tournament.

I ALSO HAVE SOME GREEN CARP BUDDIES...ONE WAS IN A TOURN ABOUT A MONTH AGO THERE BY THE DAM ..SAID HE CAUGHT 7 IN A ROW ON A WHITE BUZZBAIT..AS WE KNOW HE WAS HAVING A BLAST BUT THEY WERE COSTING HIM MONEY...

I've used a gold spoon behind the hellpet and it works well. I think you guys are all right. Use a hellbender or anything to get the bait down to the fish and they'll jump on it!
