I fished near the gun range quite a bit last year. (Didn't find it until it was too late the year before and struck out fishing along centerville.)Did ok with the advice i got here. Really lookin forward to this yr.
Seems that the "run" is not really a 'run' like i have seen in other creeks. It seems to me that they stealthily move in early and hang around a while while the rest catch up and the river gets stacked. However, even when it is stacked, I have to fight all of the goofballs fishing with 8 oz. plugs and surf rods because of 'word of mouth' reports of fish being taken.
Has anyone had any luck lately? I am willing to bet that there are fish in there. And I bet that some of the best fishing could be had before 'the run' and the fishing pressure is low.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I,too, will be hitting the creek today(Sunday). I will fish near Pleasant Valley. Have had great luck there in past years. I don't want to get a ticket though. Where can you safely park?
Good Luck! Jason

How did yall do yesterday? I'm guessing the creek was fairly high. Might give the gun range area a try tomorrow or wednesday. ------------------ Gig 'Em! '93

I drove by all the access of Rowlett Creek. It was waaay up...rolling fast...and rolling muddy. This morning, it had gone down A LOT...should be another day or 2 before it clears back up. Creed...when you headed down there, let me know. I'm usually good for 250 - 350 fish outta that creek each spawn ------------------ Duck Jerky Guide Service
