I have access to a GIANT pontoon boat with no rails...just a steering wheel and a motor...a brushpile machine...

Anyone have any hints on what brush or structure makes the unders hold?

How giant? I might have some surplus farm equipment. Kidding, cedars short term, bois d' arc long term.

I don't know much about "unders", but you can't beat a green willow or a nice large cedar tree!

Get some scuba gear and hand place them on the drops. You can position them into a nice "hotel" for those little bass!

Wouldn't that be nice!

But you better have a bunch of chains and an extra bar for your saw if you go the bois d' arc route, Cam.

Scuba gear, heck! Have you seen Cam? He could accomplish that while keeping one foot in the boat!

Seriously Cam, I've got a friend who is a master brushpiler. Cement weights, BIG trees, the works. PM'g you his name and phone number now. Call him and tell him I gave you his number and what you're wanting to do. Then pour yourself a tall one and pull up a chair cuz yer gonna be there awhile!

Yeah, I figured that would give someone a good laugh.

I'm sure you could find a local diver around Fork!

I hear it's key to getting the pile positioned just right! I may have just spoiled some guys secret! realmad

A Sweetgum Tree works the best. And they can be found all over the lake. thumb
Give me a shout and I`ll come help you if you want it? I have a certain "spot" that I`d like to sink one.

What about a PVC structure? You'd have to buy the materials and built it of course, but that won't rot underwater during your lifetime. There is a pond near my house that was developed by Bill Dance. I watched them build it. PVC trees all over it.

I would like to know if pvc structure works as good as trees and brush. Anyone out there that has used pvc much?

Check this out...
Algae builds on the PVC which draws bait fish, which draws game fish. Best thing about PVC is you don't get hung up like you could on a brush pile or last years Christmas tree. I'm sold.
