Go to tackle tour and you will see flouro has has more stretch it just rebounds 100x faster giving it that no stretch feeling. You can also feel more because of the rubber band effect. I use invisx and has 13% stretch and trilne xl has 9.5% i am just telling you what i read.

Once you get use to it you will love the 100% Trilene. It has much less stretch than Mono. You will get more bites in clearer waters on the Fluorocarbon since it disappears almost 100%.

The only thing I like about it is the low visibility. I love braid, but sometimes have to use Fluoro to get more bites. I have noticed I get more hook sets w/ 20 lb fluoro vs 15 lb.

Well, I might have to try the 20lb. I purchased the 15lb. I do have to say, I feel like I did get more bites, hard to say since I only had the floro in the water instead of braid. After fishing braid for soooo long, I guess anything would feel like a rubberband in comparison... Also, how often do you retie your knots? I caught a couple fish on it, then didn't have a hit for several hours, then WHAM a BIG momma bit and the fight was on all the way to the front of my boat and when she surfaced, she decided to go deep and SNAP.... that was all she wrote---GONE!

Retie often every few fish and check for nicks.

I probably don't check my line for nicks enough, but if I'm fishing around brush or rocks then I try to check it more often.

I'll get drilled for this, but get used to that "snap" feeling. At least that'e my experience with floro, and I've tried them all. Course, I'm not a very good fisherman, so that may have a LARGE part to play in my experience.

Field and Stream test showed it had about the same stretch as mono.

I use Fluoro for worms, spinners and jigs. It can give the worm a slightly quicker sink rate that the fish look for, plus you feel everything. I caught a rock bass on a shakey head just because I felt him barely tap it. I like BPS more than Berkley 100% though, sorry Berkley Fans.

Fluoro is good but braid is better. At least for me it is. I'm using Berkely 100% fluoro for a leader with hi-viz braid 15 lb. or less.
