Wish I snapped a picture in time, but was too worried to get it in the boat...With that being said, tied on a deep diver crankbait by the spillway. First cast something huge got on.....fought for about 5 min, my longest and most intensive fight ever. Finally got it close to the boat and what do I see??? The most pretty, black and white spotted alligator gar about 4 foot long..Didn't get it in the boat before he just let go of my lure....can't wait to dive in and swim in Worth again..yikes..lol sorry no pic!!!

THAT HAPPENED TO ME LAST NIGHT TOO! at the same lake.... except i was fishing for cats and i didn't land the fish. I was using big cut gizzard shad for bait and I had my drag locked up. And even with it locked up whatever it was freight training line outta my reel.

There are some pretty big gar in there see them all the time night fishing for cats oh and me in the kids love to anchor up and swim in the middle of the lake LOL.

i dont know why you'd swim in that lake anyways lol....

not after i saw those aligators on the news!!!!!

was up there on worth about a week ago....drifted from 820 bridge to goat island (got skunked) but did see some huge gars rolling about midway to the island and lots of them. some were 4-5 footers--were all in the bay o the south side about 150 feet from the docks.....i might just go back and try for them...
