I am headed to Twin Buttes and Nasworthy in a week or so and I have never been there. I need some recommendations for lodging near by both lakes. ( Something like Angler's lodge at Amistad or so)Need info on where to launch as well. A fishing report for LMB would get me started in the right direction, if anyone wants to contribute.... Thanks.

That I know if there is nothing like that around either lake. Twinn Buttes is on the edge of town and no store on the lake. Nasworthy has a few camp grounds but no covered lodging. Twin Buttes you can launch off a ramp on the north shore off of US 67. For nasworthy there is a ramp on the south side of the bridge. Fish the reeds on Nasworthy with a light weight and smaller worms like ring worms and rage tail roosters. Nasworthy find humps and points throw Anacondas, or fish the dam with a crankbait, also a buzzbait in the morning will get your arm broke. Have a good one. For lodging there is tons of motels and hotels through out Angelo. Nothing is a far drive from anything.

There is a I think La Quinta or something right at Knickerbocker and Loop 306. Anything on that side of town is pretty decent. This is also on the way to Nasworthy, and easy access to get to Twin Buttes. There is also a IHOP down on the frontage road for breakfast, if also off of the loop is a road called Sherwood Way also the same road to get to Twin Buttes. If you go towards town there is a bunch of restaurants. Henry's Mexican Food is down on the right. Good food, as well as a ton of other fast food joints, Taco Bell, Sonic, and so on.

Nasworthy, this time of year, is really crowded with pleasure boaters and jet fleas. If you are really interested in spending your time fishing concentrate on Twin Buttes. The only issue that might pose a problem is finding an electrical outlet outside to charge your batteries. Holiday Inn Express on Loop 306 has a pretty good breakfast, is in a "safe" part of town and is well lit.

+1 on the Holiday Inn Express

Other options are the La Quinta Inn Best Western Hampton in all are located on loop 306 in good areas. Also the Rodeway Inn on 306 has a bar and a Mexican food restaurant in it.

Thanks again guys, I thought the electrical plug to recharge the batteries might pose a problem. Hope I can find something that will work.

Give the hotels a call and check if they have any electrical outlets. It might help in your decision making process as to where to stay.
