I just visited the Cabela's site and lood up Ft. Worth retail store. According to the website it is supposed to open this Saturday. It is funny I haven't seen or heard anything on T.V. Has anyone else heard this.

I bet it is a soft opening without much pub...just to get the employees feet wet.

The one here in Spring did that. They even opened a couple of days before it was orginally scheduled. Then a few weeks later - Grand Opening Mayhem.

Ok JED.If you look at the site again it says Press release May 14 2004 not 2005.  .Also the store opens on May 26,But since my wife works there I get to go on the 24th and shop to my hearts content...

Cabelas does not open this week. It will open the doors May 26. This is from cabelas themselves. Here is the email I recieved. Dear Danny,

Yall will think this is a dumb question, but where will this new store be located. I have heard about it opening but I cannot remember being told where. Thanks

It is on the right hand side of I35 heading north, not to far from Texas Motor Speedway. Just keep going north and you can't miss it.

6 miles from my house !! Its at the corner of 35W and 170 East side. This is south of the race track. See ya there, sure will beat having to drive all the way to BPS.

yeah it is alot closer than BPS. but as I remember isnt cabelas more hunting oriented towards hunting with some fishing stuff whereas BPS is fishing with some hunting stuff?
