I have caught over 30 bass on one senko and only threw it out because I figured it couldn't have any scent left by then. It was almost 6 hours of fishing. If you guys don't wacky rig, you're missing out. If you do wacky rig and you haven't purchased a wacky tool ($7 at BPS), you are not maximizing your potential. This tool lets you slip little o-rings on the worms for the hook to go under as opposed to through the worm. Even when the worm slides up the line, it is still only going through the o-ring. You really have to try to lose the worm.

I use it quite often, and save a ton of worms.

Considering I just started bass fishing in March, I'd say it was a pretty quick learning curve. smile I can actually count the number of times I have been bass fishing as opposed to those that have been going forever and I already have 5+ pounders to my name as well as multiple 30+ bass days.

the lower half of some ball point pens will also work if you do not have one of the fancy tools

Hey tk2005 if you don't mind me asking what lake did you have your 30+ outing on?

Yeah, I think they're worth the 7 bucks. I used to use an old fat grip pen, but I lost it. Picked up one of the real ones a while back while burning up a gift card. Does save some worms. Bigger fish can still mess up a senko pretty quick even with the o rings, though.

Yep! I use that technique too and catch plenty of Bass with it, have 3 tools and always rig with it.

I just started bass fishing a few months ago so I haven't hit any of the major lakes. These are just local ponds in the Houston/Katy area. Without a boat, it doesn't make much sense ot travel to any of the big lakes. I am now getting into kayak fishing so that can all change. When I pick a new hobby, I go all out. If we didn't have a second child 3 weeks ago, I would have got a boat by now. $1500 a month for daycare is no joke.

What type of hooks do you use with those o rings?

I use the Owner wackyrig hooks or the Gamakatsu dropshot hooks and finesse hooks. I prefer the 2/0 size but 1/0 is acceptable.
