My buddy and i went out today to the lake...quite a few boaters out for the weekend but we managed a few keepers with one real nice one that came from around the lake shore bridge...the pic is of the slab next to a 11 inch fish.....pretty slow bite for us today but it was good to get out on the water... Nice,, we wandered over there by the old bridge area, bt didnt fish the bridge, how deep is it over there by the bridge? We found a little brushpile in a cove close by, and tried to fish it, but kept getting pushed off of it by a ski boat cruising back and forth with thier outdrive trimmed way up.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Nice fish JMBruce! Hey leanin post, when the south wind blows, that cove is an excellant place to fish.

There were a ton a jet fleas out there yesterday..The bigger fish I found yesterday where shallower than they had been. Between 12 and 14 ft.. Deeper piles from 18 to 20 ft didn't haven't many fish..Just my 2 cents.

We like it at the Bridge, but last time we were there , kids from the aprtment complex, I say kids , college kids, were down there hollerin and runnin around... I don't mind but they shouldnt if someone is already there fishing....but an excellent spot with that south wind...I think I may shoot for the spillway tomorrow , see if a Catfish dinner is in my near future.

Nice crappie, congrats. Wouldn't take too many of them to make a nice box full.

Is the spillway accessible/fishable by kayak? I'm thinking about toodling around in there with some jigs and seeing if I could catch some crappie.
