average at best for bass...not sure about anything else...if your coming to the area go a little farther north to raybob or east to fork is my suggestion

I fish the texas police games every year and next year they are in the city of De Soto which someone said that it could be on Joe Pool. I was told by the same guys that that lake was not very good

i used to do real good out there several years ago in the thick grass with a white spinnerbait but now the grass has died off and so has the bass fishing ...for now anyways...there is still SOME grass but this time of year it used to be real thick and and you could whack em runnning that spinner over the tops of the grass

I heard that it has alot of recreational boating and the bank is bulkheaded up so the waves don't go away kinda like conroe.

Folks can say what they want about the bass fishing at Joe Pool but that lake holds some true hogs.

I was out before dawn a couple of weeks ago and fished along walnut creek and among the stumps and couldnt even get bugs to bite. I have never had any luck at Joe Pool

Capcom - This is such a true statement! ...If Members of Congress wore shirts like the Bass Pros...Then we could tell who their corporate sponsors are.

We definitely got spoiled with the grass. I haven't really fished the lake in two years.
