Texan, I think you may be onto something.

Broken Bow might be the winner. Man I wish we had a place like that here.

if your willing to drive there are some gorgeous places here. I love floating from Rush on the buffalo river to Buffalo city(26 miles). Some of the best smallmouth fishing in the country.

Gutcheck and Muddy -- I was actually looking for something small like that with stuff to do. Are there any little cabins around there with boat parking?

Thanks

Try Jacksboro. You have 2 lakes that are completely different. You wont catch much over 3 lb but you can have fun with the family on a couple of nice little lakes.

If you want a family weekend with something for everyone try Rough Creek Lodge. I'm taking the family there for a "staycation" in the next few weeks. We always have a blast. When you look at the inclusive packages and the quality of the accommodations it's really an affordable trip.

Broken Bow is good because there are cabins you can stay over night in,but in between broken bow and Paris, Lake Hugo is a lake no one fishes a lot,but there is enough cover to have lots of fish.
