I was just about to say I would change those hooks, I got my feelings hurt pretty bad at fork because of them.

Yep change the hooks on cranks. I had my first double digit today and still no replica to show for it. Never set the hook on a fish and he didnt budge and decided he would go other way. Have fun and be ready, we caught nothin but 5 lbers today, and those boogers are fed steroids.

I use 14 lb for DD22`s on Fork. I don`t use Fluorocarbon because it will break sooner or later if you backlash it. So, I use Trilene Maxx, or Trilene Trans-Optic in 15 lb test.

Sounds like you need to back off that drag a little...

my brother just left back to california after using my rods and reels for 2 weeks.i could have given you a photo album of backlashes lol.i had to respool all my reels too....in hindsight i probably should have taken the seaguar off and put it somewhere and put some big game on or something before he got here.oh well...he had fun.

The drag was plenty loose as he was stripping it, I jest felt the hook come loose, prob didnt get the hook in the good part of the mouth, I use black angel jigs exclusively but was using Talon football head jigs today (only got 1/2 Ba jigs but needed 3/4) which have served me well, just one of those instances.
