Not a lure company, but if you need a quality set of culling rings made by a small company (me being the only employee) click the logo in my signature. I haven't updated the "retailers" page of my site but as of Wednesday Brannan's Bass Shop in Powderly, TX (brannansbass.com) has a few sets they'll sell you.

www.whopperbaits.com > Bobby's plastics are the best. He hand pours with injection molds for professionally consistent baits. Custom colors and laminates. All of his baits are extensively tested and made in the USA. Don't buy plastics without checking this site.

yes LFT is not something I was asking for, LFT is a great company and I use many of their soft baits. I didn't make my original post clear and I apologize for that. I was just trying to support smaller individually owned and created tackle companies.

Thank you all for the great companies and advice.

El Grande Lures! Let me know if you need some lizards, frogs and frogs!!! If there is anything I can do please let me know.

If everyone focused on the important things in life, then there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

Spencer2.... No one bothered to say thank you for looking to the mom & pop companies first for your tackle. The small guys are just trying to live a dream and sincerely appreciate people like you that want to support the little guys with great products. Thank you!!

I seriously considered not weighing in on this thread only because we consider ourselves to be a little out of the norm of aspirations for a small company. We don't aspire to ever get to a point where a machine will be needed to produce our products. So much so we no longer hand inject anything, strictly hand pour. I'm not going to shed a negative light on hand injection producers either, each to his own.

Our process alone doesn't allow us to produce the quantities needed to enter into a huge retail situation, if only I could buy an orchard of hand poured worm trees that I could harvest watermelon red from. Every worm I make goes through my hands at least 3 times in process, demold, de-flash (when I get in a hurry) and then packaging. Machines won't do this nor will it produce 30 of a color with a specific flake color.

Which leads me to this point, one of the mainstays of this industry is availability of products that we all have our confidence in, understandable. Brand loyalty is huge to a small company trying to carve out a niche for themselves. We understand this so much so we discontinued our craw in part do to this, but also because we respect those very people who we rely on to be customers. Case in point we received the "Cease and Desist" letter from Reaction Innovations. We pulled the product because we didn't want RI to sue us and then have to pay for their attorneys with anglers money.

Lastly, I'm just "arrogant" enough to believe I produce the best hand poured bait in Texas and in several other states but then "arrogance" is incorrect terminology. I call it confidence or believing in self, if I don't believe this way then what am I really doing and why? Money? yes and no, actually I get just as much satisfaction out of the kids down the street who score a few free worms telling me they caught fish on them at the local pond as I do from Bryan Thrift plugging our product. Might sound strange but those kids have to start somewhere, I just wish they'd ask and not steal them LOL.

My two favorite company owners that I've personally met and sat down with: Terry Oldhams & Mark Pack
