Well, it looks like the EPA has received a proposal for E15 and E20 to be placed at the pumps. The ethanol industry ofcourse is pushing hard for this proposal, while outboard motor producers are fighting it, saying outboards can not burn this fuel.

Let's hope this proposal fails!

Ethanol is killing outboards every day. . I dont understand their reasoning but they are costing ordinary Americans tons of money on their neccesities. I dont mean the boats when I say neccesity though. Ethanol is destroying fuel systems in our cars and trucks too.

FYI, just to let everyone in on this ethanol fuel. Tree hugers think it is clean but it takes twice as much natural gas burned it make ethanol! So why would you want to burn 2 gallons, per say, of natural gas to get 1 gallon of ethanol? Tree hugers are so smart!!!!

Corn ethanol subsidies totaled $7.0 billion in 2006 for 4.9 billion gallons of ethanol.

Plain and simple, we as "free" americans can not and will not ever be able to function without oil or gas!! What do you think would happen if every oil and gas well was shut in for a day? a week? a month?

One BIG reason that ethanol is still in the works is that the first election primaries are in Iowa and as long as that is our schedule - we will burn food for fuel no matter what the cost.

NEXT - I am still able to by gas without ethanol at some stations near the lakes I fish ---- BUT I heard that new rules taking effect soon will prohibit that....does anybody know about that being the case or not??

Whether it says it on the pump or not, there is a 98% chance you are getting fuel with ethanol.

Just FYI

Until we get back to 'Capitalism' being a good word instead of a dirty word, this country is doomed.

The free markets are always self correcting. When you subsidize spending 1.2 gallons of fuel to make 1 gallon of ethanol we have a problem.

To fight big business, you stop buying there stuff. To stop big government you must have a revolution. I would rather fight big business.
