OK first we (I) who jumped on "TonyT" for telling us he was catching big Hybrids, TonyT I am sorry for doubting you.

I have been fishing with my friend Doug "Doug's Striper Guide" and man there are some big Hybrids in Hubbard, I caught my personal biggest today at 12.2lbs and a 10.1 and one at about 10 that Doug made me let go .
Dang guides always wanting to let them go LOL
What a great time, we caught a total of 5 tonight 7-12.2 lbs and missed about 3 more, Big 6"-8" shad and one of Doug's humps and we were on them.
Anyone with a boat that wants to go catch these big guys, Doug will teach you how,where,when and so on.
Doug's boat is broke down so he wants to offer trips in your boat at a good price and he will put you on just about any kind of fish you want you can give him a call @ 214-952-6721
Doug will fish Tawakoni, Hubbard or Whitney.

O.K Charlie here you go. Between you and Varner you two are driving me nuts on these big fish.

Nice! When Varner and I caught the two last week, we said,,,,,one day this summer we are going out there and fish for hybrids only with shad!

We caught so many small hybrids there last Friday that it will not be long before you start catching more legal fish, I bet.

When did they stock hybrids last and how many.

Called? Should have, but it wouldn't have helped for me to call anyone to come help cause we were sitting on a hump that wasent big enough for you guys

There are a batch that are about 6-8" there is a batch about 14-16" then there are some older that have avoided beeing taken. someone knowes when they have stocked. I watched them put a bunch in about 8 yrs ago.

Two years ago, which are now the 13 to 16 inch fish, one year ago which are the 6 to 10 inch fish.

Then this year on Memorial Day the lake was stocked with over 100,000

I visted with a biologist about stocking of the lakes. Benbrook got 45,000 this year as well.

Arlington is on the list to not be stocked anymore and there are no plans to stock Bridgeport again with them.

It is my understanding that Benbrook, Proctor, Cedar Creek, Richland Chambers, and Hubbard will be the ones getting the most as well as Lewisville--Bridgeport and Arlington are out.

Were in the lake are you catching these guys? I do not know my way aroung well enough yet.

About time somebody caught some nice fish out of their Good looking fish guys.....I guess I will have to start taking live bait And tell Bug-A-Bass their are no big hybrids in that lake...

Congrats guys! When they get over 8lbs they have that extra gear that really tests your equipment. Blast!
