Floated the 4th of July from the town of Wimberley down close to 5 mile dam. I have floated this trip before and I am still in amazement of the beauty of this river. Flows were "ok", around 100 cfs. A little low in some spots to say the least but defiantly worth the trouble. Caught plenty of perch and small LMB but unfortunately no smallies frown. I wish we had two days to float so we could slow down and fish more thoroughly instead of just paddling fast to make it back to the truck before dark. Used small neon poppers and woolly buggers the whole time. I used a 3wt fly rod makes the small ones more enjoyable to catch. Missed a big cat fish on the fly, some how managed to get off. But all and all a great trip.

mostly largemouth but i know we landed one Guad, I think if you slow down and fish the ripples and eddies you will have the best luck.
