I have a 9.9 hp motor on a 14' boat. I am told that the whites and hybrids are in deep water in the season. I would like to know how can I use my boat to troll for them? Which is a good lake in North Texas should I start trying? What lures should I use? Any suggestions for me?

Thanks a lot!

All you have to do to troll is barely give it any throttle, moving along at two or three miles per hour. It's fairly easy to estimate, or you could use a GPS to verify your speed.

Trolling works on virtually any lake. Your profile says you're in Plano, so I would suggest Lewisville, Ray Roberts and Cedar Creek.

Lures to use? Well, I'm rather partial to the HellPet combo. Click here to see more about the HellPet.
