Looking at going down to the coast at the end of the month. My buddy has a travel trailer and was wanting to know of some good places to stay that are on the water in either port a or rockport. A fishing pier would be nice as well or just some good fishing spots nearby. Anyone have any advice on a nice place to stay??

I stay at the Sandollar Hotel and RV Park in Fulton, nice trees, pool, little beach, bait shop, pier, marina, launch

Definitely recommend the Sandollar. It's nice and reasonably priced. Here's the website.

Look into Ransom Road RV Park. Nice, secure and good folks. I've stayed there several times.

I believe the Ransom Road rv park has a fishing pier, and is close to launches. If you're looking for shade and elbow room, you might take a look at Drifter's, between Aransas Pass and Rockport. They may have a waiting list.
