all

I have a 2008 Optimax very low hours on my Nitro 288.Just got back from dealer and they said computer showing fine. Getting 1 long beeP at speeds under 10 and sometimes higher speeds . RPMS at 45 mph showing 5900 at 50 6500.
Anyone know what the issue may be?

Thanks
Chuck

I would question the dealer. Any audible alarm should be stored in the computers memory.

Your rpm's are probably a misfunction of the tach. The 150 will set off an alarm somewhere just above 5750 rpm's. Mine does it at 5780 if I run it there more than a second or two. It will also slow the engine down.

My warranty expired june 30 told the dealer about the guardian beep and rpm problem he was sure it was the oil tank . to his defense said to bring back if occurred again. It did as soon as I put it back in the water. why did his computer not tell him this? Hope warranty still applies

back to dealer unfortunately just read thread where someone else has had big problems getting this dealer to fix his optimax just my luck

For sure have the tach setting checked, should be on 12p.also check the battery connections on the battery,if it has wing nuts, replace them with nuts and lock washers.
