to those that suggested using thread to keep the liver on, you guys are the bomb. it does in fact aid in keeping liver on longer, which translates into more bites and more fish. Thanks to whoever suggested that.

I had a buddy suggest using pantyhose to keep it on. I haven't tried this one, I usually use the thread myself, but he says pantyhose is exellent.

what i do is get the chicken livers in a small tub and sprinkle alot of garlic salt and mix it in w/ the livers and then put it on the hook. not sure if it works but i read that catfish love garlic, so i figure it might make them stay on the chicken liver a lil longer.

Garlic works great for cats. I dont ever tie anything on my liver. I just put it staraight on a #4 trebble hook...hardly ever lose my liver unless its in the belly of a cat i hook. Panty hose does work too though.

You know whats the best about all this, is that there are many ways to get " Mission Complete " on hooking liver up and keeping it there.

At least there are lots of ways of doing and instead of none.
