I have a revo and love it . Best reel I own. Can cast a mile with it. I am sure you can with the curado as well.

Curado is a amazing reel. I started using Shimano reels when i noticed that the salt water guys couldnt kill them. The Curado e7 is a amazing reel that cast far, feels smooth and has a awesome drag. It is also built great and they are easy to buy parts for. My opinion is that anything shimano is great. The New citicas are awesome also for a cheaper price tag.

I have both and both are great. I like the Revo a bit better..fits my hands better and i can cast lighter weighted plastics better without backlash. But wouldn't have an issue with buying or using either.

I prefer the Curado. I have sold all of my STX and Premiers and am in the process of buying more Curados. I thought the Revo's I had were harder to get adjusted after changng lures. I do prefer the Revo's without the magnetic braking (SKT, Winch, and SX) over the ones with it (STX and Premier)
Before I bought my first Curado E I contacted a guy who cleans and repairs reels (well know guy to many on TFF) and asked his opinion and he said hands down buy Shimano. He stated that he personally has sold his Revo's and replaced them with Shimano.
Both of them are good reels and I would imagine you will be telling anyone who asks "Hands down get the ______" after you buy one no matter which one it is.
People definitely seem to prefer one over the other and for me it is the Curado.

I have an sx and a curado, love them both but probably lean toward the revo. I havn't used an stx so idk but if its nicer than my sx then it is SWEET. My curado is a higher priced reel so I wana get a revo in the same quality bracket.
long story short they are both great, play with each see which one u like in your hand more and how the weight feels. They are both a good enough quality that it is about the confidence and the natrual feel of the reel in your hand as apposed to which is "better".

Both are very good reels -- can't go wrong with either.

I thought the Revo's I had were harder to get adjusted after changng lures. That was my impression of them as well. I had a bunch last year that I put on ebay cause they just drove me nuts. I switched to Daiwas but Shimano is solid too.

I have both, but like the Curado best... I used the Ambassador reels since 1976... but then bought my first Curado a few years back and a Revo about the same time... I now own 5 Curado's and one Revo... and a dozen older Ambassadors, it was the only reel type I bought for years...
I use them all, but fish mostly with the Curados. performance is great... always smooth long casts, great drag system. Rods will make more noticeable difference than the reel....

have heard some problems with the revo s. i personally own a premier and stx and i like my stx alot better. also, i own citicas and curados. i would go all citicas if they made a low speed and high speed retrive bc of the price.
