I fished @ Mill Creek this past weekend - I though that the signs were right... But to my suprize it was a bad day on the lake - Water temp.82 deg. found hydrilla - slowed presation down and fished every color and shape bait that has ever been made. Wonder WHAT I'm doing wrong? With all the guides and the pro's that are on TTF maybe someone could give me some help, not so much for me but I had my 2 grandsons with me - Thank for any help.

Things to try would be fishing under the hydrilla (punh it) with jigs and/or plastics. And use your electronics and fish off shore structure (ledges, creek channels, humps, etc.).

The points across from the ramp can be very good,c-rig or crankbait.I would also try a wacky rig around the grass and let it fall into the open holes.

I caught all mine today tossing soft baits a foot or two out from the edge of thick hydrilla and weeds/grass.. If I got my wiggle right, they would bite.

I use to use a guide at fork that didnt even go out until 9-10 and we caught most of our big fish in 12-15ft of water right in the heat of the day with big baits. we did better than all the early birds. fish have to east every 12hrs of so. So if they eat at night they will need to eat again in the middle of the day.
