I went to Boerne city lake park this 4th of july with the family and in-laws and had a great time. We caught so many perch it got to the point where it was just work. This lake is about 50 acres and you can only use non combustion engines on it. I would like to know what other lakes are like this around the san antonio area? I am mainly looking for good places to take my kids fishing.

I think there is a pond like that in the new Crescent Bend Nature Park in Schertz. I have not been there yet but I need to check it out.

Where were you catching the perch? from the dock or were you out on a kayak?

My wife and sister in-law were catching them at the dock on canned corn my fater in-law and myself were catching them to the left of the docks by the dam on night crawlers. I was using my jon boat with trolling motor.

I work like 5 miles from that cresant bent nature park and have never stopped by there I will check it out in the next couple of days and let you know what it is like.
