Did pretty good with the sandies on Saturday. Slabbed em up most all day in the middle of a boat show out from the wind sock. See the pictures at my site. ------------------ Monte's Metroplex Fishing

Chuck, Yeah I was wanting us to go yesterday and today but the rain and the wind has got us down, huh? Lousy weather! Michael, I was pretty surprised with the fishing success we had last saturday. Who would have thought it in February. The guide I was talking about was Royce (Gone Fishin). I didn't see his post until after I posted this one. He launched right before we did and was real friendly. Even gave me a couple of places to check out. If we ever hire a guide on RC he will be our man. ------------------ Monte's Metroplex Fishing

Are you working nights this week? I think the weather will hold off till next week or so. You know how fast it changes. Also, have you been reading the Texoma reports? They sound promising. Just a thought. Let me know your good days coming up if there are any.

Monte,
If you don't mine telling me--where is the windsock on RC? I've only been to the lake once before, but know a few locations, such as Pelican Island/Point and the old 287 hwy. I may try RC Saturday, for crappie and sandies.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Depending on where you put in, if you go to the dam and are facing it, you'll notice a point that sticks out on you right hand side. There is a little building there and you will see a (Airport Windsock) there. That point goes out in the lake for a pretty good ways. That is Windsock Point. Fish both sides.

Adding to what Kneal said, we spoke with the owner of Fisherman's Point after we ate dinner there Saturday night and he said fishing both sides of that wind sock point almost always produces fish. Chuck, I'm working midnights this next week so my evenings are pretty much all free. I don't work at all Mar 9 through Mar 14. Woohoo!! Let's go fishin! ------------------ Monte's Metroplex Fishing
