Sorry to hear about your wife condition , I have a 2009 Dodge crew cab, the ride is great . I pull my pontoon with [ not real heavy, but catches a lot of wind ] and my pu trailer. Rides really well.

You might want to look at the 07 and later Toyota Tundra. Everyone that rides in mine comments on how well it rides. I have not been in many other late model trucks just a Dodge diesel and a 07 GMC and there is a very noticeable difference in the ride of those 2 and my 07 double cab Tundra.

Get a high end suburban. Problem solved.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Well whatever you do, don't buy a 2008 chevy 2500 4x4. This is the third 3/4 ton truck I have owned and it feels like I am going down the road on horseback. That's no lie...I have an '08 GMC 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4. My neighbor has an '06 Chev. 2500HD CC/4X4 and the difference in ride is night and day. His is much smoother than mine. Of course I have a higher payload and towing capacity than he does...not that I've ever needed it. But someday I might.

My wife had an 07 Tahoe and the ride was definatly very smooth. We never used it to pull anything since we had my truck available, but i'm sure with that 5.8 Chevy puts in them it would be no problem pulling your boat.

Have to agree with the Dodge comments. I've got a 2009 crew and it has a really solid ride. Very smooth.

I testdrove 3 2010 F-350s and I woundnt say they are what you are looking for. They rode good for a 1-ton truck, but that isnt saying much now is it.

I agree with the 2010 Ford's ride. I bought a 2010 F-250 4 x 4 and the ride (with or without the boat) is super smooth ... just my opinion

I have to second anyone on a F250. I bought a '10 FX4 with the diesel. Pulls my Z21 like nothing, and very comfy. Driving back from Rayburn after a weekend of fishing, I gotta be careful not to fall asleep. Beats my '04 Dodge 4x4 with the hemi...hands down!!!

I don't know about the latest model Dodge, but I own an 07 and I have to wonder if that thing even has shocks. I've checked under there a couple of times and they are there, I just don't know if they are connected to anything. Roughest riding POS truck I have ever owned. Has a Hemi and runs like a scalded ape though, but that is about it. Wife cant stand riding in it. Hell I really cant either. I don't know why I bought it.

I will definately second the dodge rough ride. I bought a 2010 1-ton srw and it is a hard riding truck till you load it down.

The F150 KING RANCH made especially for the comfort of a smooth ride.
