Got to the lake about 8:00am and went directly toward the dam........

Caught several undersize hybrids slabbing; then went to downriggers in 30 ft of water. Caught several more 13-15 inch hybrids and then a BIG ONE !!!

Weighed on my boat scale at 14lbs! Took pictures. This is the largest hybrid I have personally ever seen. Same place out from the sailboats toward the dam. All fish caught on either a silver hair jig, or mid-sized white rattle trap.

Yes, nice going on that fish. We were out there also. From 6:30 to 1:00. Fished by the yacht club too, so we must have been in the same area. We saw a Guide boat I think, Center Console, Green over white boat catching a few fish slabbing. We idled by but stayed far off, other boats were flocking around him. We reverted to trolling DD14s and ended up catching 10 or so nice sized Sandies and one under hybrid. Most of our fish came from the mouth of the first creek south of the Heath Boat ramp. Brushy Creek or Yankee Creek maybe? One up from the Rush Creek Yacht club. Then we found a nice school of sandies in 17' of water in the bay just south of Chandlers but some water-skiing buttwipes kept bouncing us like an orange marker with their wakeboard nonsense. We pulled a few from there. Anyway, my friend took home a nice meal of 7 good sized sandbass, so all is well.

Yes we could see the small boat show but never got in the middle of it ..........a little closer to the dam maybe 200 yards away from you. As soon as my brother emails me the pictures I will post it.

Yes Bob, that was I with a repeat ladie customers and brought ones hubby this time. It's a hoot to hear those ladies scream on those hybrids. One funny part was Kim had a nice hybrid on and the hubby was trying to help out with netting the fish and the fish went straight through a hole in the net and was swimming around and they couldn't get the fish back in the net, the ladies hollering at him and screaming if lets that fish get away they are getting a divorce after 32 years of marriage. Well they manged to land it and all was well after that. smile
