I need to know where I can get into some carp on Ray Roberts sometime. we'd be coming from Buck Creek. (closest ramp from Whitesboro) I feel like I need some carp action soon!

I'm not sure why I never noticed this before, but I'm going to start keeping a closer eye on you, fella. You might be some sort of rough fish secret agent. smile

Austin, I am not familiar with Ray Roberts but can tell you to seek the flats. A topo map can come in handy or just Google Maps.

Not the greatest advice but better than what's been posted so far.

Good luck!

There are some flats near the west end of the dam.

I would narrow it down to where the blue area touches the tan area, but that's just me.

Avoid the giant red squares. They look HOT!

I could say fish to the right of the single big tree that, out in front of the picnic table on site 23A, Camp Area B, in the Johnson Branch Park at Lake Ray Roberts

but this is the TEXAS FISHING FORUM, and having seen lots of Q&A sessions here,

I'll go with this answer:

Lake Lavon, Clear Lake Park, fish the main cove's shore on the dam side.

also follow Dave's #5050952 - Yesterday at 11:24 PM Re: Ray Roberts- Carp? advice, as he knows his stuff, and he orginated the cow/carp comparison

Unless you are wearing a grass skirt and sleeping in a ditch and eating only road kill, you too are part of 'the problem'.
