Just got a used boat with a 60hp Johnson, the motor turns over but slowly putts out, and by trying to increase the throttle only makes it die faster??? doesnt sound like a major prob to me but im not too mechnical, is this a simple fix that I could do myself? Thanks in advance for any info

It is at my house......Just kidding.......No, sounds like the carbs are dirty,,,,you need to take it to a shop and let them do it. And while you're there, Have them change the water pump impeller and do an oil change in the lower unit. And if it is an oil blended, VRO, style engine. Disconnect the VRO and go to pre-mix.
